Solid State Solenoids are designed and built specifically for operating electrical winches and vehicle mounted cranes and are constructed to international standards for electrical products and includes the latest technology in switching solenoids.
A key feature of the Solenoid is the use of Silver Cadmium Oxide (AgCdO) coated contacts which resist arching when switching currents, this eliminates a common cause of failure among the common “style” solenoids, those older solenoids do not have this feature, without it they create carbon deposits on the contacts which eventually leads to the contacts welding themselves together forming a permanently closed circuit, leading to failure and potential damage to your winch.
